Atlanta Hawks coach arrested on DUI charge

(CNN) — The new head coach of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Georgia State Patrol said.

A state trooper pulled over Michael Budenholzer in Atlanta because the taillights of his car weren’t on, the arrest report says.

The trooper reported that Budenholzer “had bloodshot and watery eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.”

Budenholzer declined to take a breath test but consented to field sobriety tests, the trooper reported. Budenholzer was arrested after those tests, the report says.

Budenholzer told the trooper that he had one glass of wine and that he finished drinking 15 minutes before he was pulled over, according to the report.

Hawks General Manager Danny Ferry said Thursday that Budenholzer informed the team of the arrest Wednesday night.

Waka Flocka Flame Joins Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Cast

For all you Love and Hip Hop fans, there will be some new cast additions for the show’s next season.  Mona Scott Young has added one of Hip Hop’s newest couple, Waka Flocka Flame and his fiancee Tammy Rivera to the Atlanta line up.  The couple has signed up to appear on the third season of LHHA.  According to S2SMagazine, Mona wanted them on the show during the first season, however Tammy wasn’t too thrilled about the idea. Waka honored her wishes by declining the initial recruitment. There’s no word on what made Waka and Tammy change their minds this time around.  I guess we see who wears the pants in this relationship. Your thoughts?Image

When Ben Affleck was announced as the new Batman, people lost their damn minds. Black Twitter began tweeting potential Batman dialogue in a Boston accent, making fun of Afflecks’s Beantown roots. Former Batman Michael Keaton disagrees with the internet and says Ben Affleck will be a great Batman.

Michael Keaton was caught by TMZ cameras trying to make a mad dash to his car from an L.A. restaurant. When asked about his opinion on the new Batman casting, he said Ben could definitely pull it off. “He is gonna be great,” Keaton told the camera crew.

What’s funny about the cameras asking Michael Keaton about Batman is Keaton is trying so hard to be polite when he really wanted to tell them he had to go. The whole time he’s being interviewed, he’s rushing to the car and trying his best to answer the question with a fast answer…

Tracy McGrady says he’s retiring from NBA after 16 seasons

Those sleepy eyes always betrayed Tracy McGrady.

Whether he was pouring in 13 points in 35 seconds for Houston in 2004 or sitting on the bench and watching the San Antonio Spurs win another playoff game in June without needing him, that cool expression rarely changed. It all looked almost too easy for McGrady, even if it rarely was.

McGrady announced his retirement from the NBA on Monday, ending a 16-year career that included two scoring titles, seven All-Star appearances, injuries to his knee and back and zero playoff series wins while he was leading the way. The straight-from-high school project who blossomed into a dominant, two-way superstar will always be remembered, too, as a player who struggled with injuries.

“Thank all of you who have supported me over 16 NBA seasons, 7 All-Stars, and countless exciting moments,” McGrady tweeted on Monday morning. “Retiring from NBA. Stay tuned.”
